MORITZ20 Kids Trail Full-Suspension Bike
MORITZ20 - the full-suspension trail rocket on the 29er principle, for kids from about 1.10 m, at only 9.5 kg total weight. Why wait long and not already ride a mountain bike properly at the age of four or five?

With MORITZ you can shred the roughest trails, ride demanding tours or participate in enduro races. No other fully for kids is so versatile. MORITZ is incredibly potent in the downhill and thanks to the unmatched low weight yet strong uphill. The kinematics was designed specifically for low body weights. It is extremely plush and yet drive neutral. The geometry is absolutely state of the art, the weight super low and the equipment high quality, functional and robust.
What our MORITZ can do
Due to the relatively large wheels (20") - compared to other bikes - the rollover behavior and the driving stability is optimized even at higher speeds in the terrain. The modern geometry with a flat steering angle and the slightly shorter rear ensure lots of fun off-road and flow on the trail. The weight and components are, as usual from us tailored to the offspring. The tube dimensions of the frame were designed for the weight of the kids, but also withstand the roughest load - a simple, lightweight but efficient single-link Fully without unnecessary frills. Thanks to a special tuning of the shocks and a clever location of the pivot point, the MORITZ system works very efficiently and drive neutral. The suspension travel is 100 mm. The high gear ratio provides a good response and efficient use of the suspension travel with a low body weight.

Kids who are set at other manufacturers, for example, on 20 inches, start with us on 24 inches through and benefit especially from the running smoothness and driving stability. MORITZ is thus virtually a 29er on the basis of 20 - 29 inch wheels. Obstacles are better rolled over thanks to the larger wheels and the little junior athlete gains driving safety at increasing speed. In addition, it just looks damn good - just like the big ones!
Range of use
The MORITZ20 corresponds to a mountain bike of category 3. Bikes of this category can also be used on rough trails, in rough terrain and on difficult routes that require good riding technique. Jumps and drops can occur here up to a maximum height of 60 cm. The MORITZ20 children's bike is designed for a rider weight of max. 35 kg.

The MAX children's bikes can be ridden from the beginning of the size recommendation idR two to three years and cover a size growth of maximum 15-20 cm - after adjustment of seatpost and stem.
Leichtes 20" Enduro Fully
Nachdem unser zweiter Junior auch im Bikepark unterwegs ist, war es Zeit für einen Umstieg vom HT Propain Dreckspatz 20" auf ein Fully. Das 20" Commencal Clash das sein grosser Bruder gefahren ist, war für unseren mittleren Junior zu schwer und wuchtig- es sollte eine leichtere Alternative her. Nach ausführlicher Recherche habe ich das Moritz 20" bestellt. Abgesehen von der kinderspezifischem Geo und dem hervorragenden Gewicht ist das Bike hervorragend ausgestattet mit solider SRAM Schaltung, Magura Bremsen mit kinderfreundlichen kleinen Hebeln usw. - mit der Option des 28er Kettenblatts ist das Bike auch für steilere Anstiege gewappnet.
Es gibt aus meiner Sicht noch folgende Verbesserungsvorschläge zu den Komponenten (wie schon beim 24" welches wir für unseren Grossen gekauft haben):
-Lenker und Griffe mit kleinerem Durchmesser: wir haben den Standard Pace Lenker gegen einen SDG Junior mit 19mm (Griffe 26mm) getauscht, das gibt mit kleinen Kinderhänden deutlich mehr Kontrolle. -Sattel: wünschenswert wäre ein Sattel mit Kevlar an den exponierten Ecken, das lässt den Sattel deutlich länger gut aussehen.
-Reifen: ich habe eine Auswahl Option für die Bereifung vermisst: die montierten Schwalbe Rocket Ron sind leicht, für den angestrebten Enduro Einsatz bieten sie allerdings zuwenig Grip, das sind eher CC Racer. Wir haben diese dann selbst gegen Maxxis Minion DHF getauscht, das bringt deutlich mehr Grip, das moderate Zusatzgewicht nehmen wir in Kauf.
Fazit:
der Tausch vom DH lastigen Commencal Clash 20" hat sich für unser Fliegengewichtigen Junior gelohnt. Mit den kleinen Änderungen meiner Meinung nach das beste Kinder Enduro in 20" auf dem Markt!
