Ultra-light UD carbon frame with UDH derailleur hanger
The frame, made from UD carbon fibre, is both ultra-light and stiff, ensuring maximum propulsion. The geometry is sporty yet balanced and specifically designed to meet the needs of young racers: a short rear triangle makes the cross-country bike particularly agile and makes it easier to shift your weight on technically demanding terrain. Combined with a shorter top tube and head tube, the bike’s handling is noticeably improved, thereby increasing control. A steep seat angle, combined with the correct crank length, supports ergonomic and efficient pedalling and helps conserve valuable energy – which, in the end, could be the deciding factor in securing a podium place.
Ergonomic cockpit for optimum control
The lightweight carbon handlebars from VPACE, combined with the 70 mm stem from Reverse Components, ensure safe and controlled handling in all riding situations. Gear changes are made using a smooth-shifting SRAM GX Eagle trigger shifter, whilst braking is handled by the lightweight and reliable Magura MT4 disc brake. The 1-finger HC aluminium brake levers can be perfectly adjusted to fit smaller children’s hands and offer precise control and maximum braking power with minimal effort.

Smooth-shifting gearbox with 500 per cent bandwidth
When every second counts, precision is crucial. The SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed groupset delivers lightning-fast, silky-smooth gear changes – even under full load. With its wide gear range, you’ll be perfectly equipped for any situation – powerful on the flat, efficient on the climbs and lightning-fast on the home straight.
A child-friendly crank. Powerful and clever.
We have specifically designed the lightweight VPACE SL children’s crankset to suit the anatomy of young riders with narrow hips. With a Q-factor of 150 mm, it allows for a natural leg position, resulting in greater efficiency when pedalling and noticeably better power transfer. Thanks to the 3-hole direct mount, changing the chainring is a matter of seconds.

Lightweight carbon fork or high-performance suspension fork
Lightweight, stiff, responsive. The carbon fork is ideal for anyone who values low weight and maximum efficiency. The RockShox SID SL suspension fork with 100 mm of travel, on the other hand, offers greater comfort, control and speed off-road and is specially tuned to the lighter weight of young racers – Kids Tuned Suspension. This gives it a particularly responsive feel and delivers top performance on the trail and in competition. Thanks to the lockout on the fork crown, the suspension can be locked out when required.
29er setup with lightweight VPACE SL wheels
With the VPACE 29er concept, we use large wheels across all model sizes. For example, a child who is 150 cm tall can already ride a Matz29 Carbon with 29-inch wheels. With other manufacturers, however, it would be a 26-inch bike. Why does this make sense? Because large wheels roll more efficiently, offer a smoother ride and clear obstacles more easily. Combined with our exceptionally lightweight (1,550 grams) VPACE SL wheels featuring Duke Lucky Star Ultra rims, young racers benefit from significantly better acceleration, greater efficiency and enhanced safety on the trail and in races.

Scope of application
The Matz29C Carbon is a Category 3 mountain bike and is therefore ideally suited to rough trails, unpaved paths and technically demanding terrain. Jumps and drops of up to 60 cm are no problem, provided you have the right riding technique. The Matz29 Carbon has been designed for a maximum rider weight of 65 kg.
The perfect size
The chart shows a recommendation based on body height. However, depending on your riding style, body proportions or personal preferences, a smaller or larger model may also be suitable. Simple adjustments, such as a longer or shorter stem, a different seatpost or the position of the saddle, allow you to tailor the bike perfectly to your needs.
