Lightweight aluminium frame with UDH

Thanks to the cleverly designed 6061 aluminium tube set with a UDH derailleur hanger, the Michl frame is extremely light, stiff and robust all at once. The modern all-road geometry is sporty yet balanced and specifically tailored to the needs of young cyclists: A short rear triangle makes the bike particularly agile and manoeuvrable. Combined with a shortened top tube and head tube, this noticeably improves the bike’s handling and enhances control and riding safety. A steep seat angle, combined with child-friendly cranks, supports ergonomic and efficient pedalling and helps to conserve valuable energy.

Optimal control thanks to the ergonomic cockpit

The 38 cm-wide VPACE SL handlebar with an 18° flare impresses with its child-friendly ergonomics, offers a high level of comfort and ensures safe and controlled handling on gravel, in tight bends and on fast descents. Shifting and braking are handled by the smooth-operating Shimano GRX600 shift/brake levers, whose reach can be perfectly adjusted to suit smaller children’s hands, thus offering precise control and maximum braking performance with minimal effort.

Smooth-shifting gearbox with a wide gear ratio range

Whether riding steeply uphill or fast downhill – with the high-quality Shimano GRX810 11-speed rear derailleur, young gravel cyclists can change gears precisely, smoothly and reliably. Thanks to the 11–42 cassette with its wide gear range, even longer gravel climbs can be tackled with ease.

A child-friendly crank. Powerful and clever.

We have specifically designed the lightweight VPACE SL children’s crankset to suit the anatomy of young riders with narrower hips. With a Q-factor of 150 mm, it allows for a natural leg position, resulting in greater efficiency when pedalling and noticeably better power transfer. Thanks to the 3-hole direct mount, changing the chainring is a matter of seconds. And because the crank length also has a major influence on power transfer and efficiency, we tailor it to the specific model size.

Lightweight carbon fork

Lightweight, stiff, responsive. The VPACE CCX carbon fork combines low weight and high stiffness with practical threads for retrofitting mudguards.

Scope of application

The Michl gravel bike is a Category 2 cycle and is therefore ideally suited to unpaved paths, gravel tracks and easy trails. Jumps and drops of up to 15 cm are no problem, provided you have the right riding technique. Whether it’s a leisurely ride, a fast training lap or a race, the Michl delivers on its promises. The Michl275 gravel bike has been designed for a rider weight of up to 55 kg.

Our children’s bikes can be ridden for two years from the start of the recommended size range and accommodate a growth of approximately 15 cm. Once the seat post and stem have been adjusted, this can be extended to 20 cm.

The perfect size

The chart shows a recommendation based on body height. However, depending on your riding style, body proportions or personal preferences, a smaller or larger model may also be suitable. Simple adjustments, such as a longer or shorter stem, a different seatpost or the position of the saddle, allow you to tailor the bike perfectly to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

VPACE Kids Bikes are sporty bicycles and components designed specifically for children, setting new standards in quality, performance and design:

  • Lightweight
  • Well-thought-out, child-specific geometry
  • Larger wheels thanks to the 29er principle
  • Top-quality components from renowned manufacturers
  • Good value for money
  • Low actual running costs due to the high resale value

On the one hand, you can really put our bikes through their paces at our Test Centre partners and experience the VPACE ‘aha’ moment; and on the other hand, you can visit our showroom in Horgenzell, where you can view all our kids’ bikes and even take them for a test ride.

Your bike will arrive in a box, fully pre-assembled, perfectly adjusted and ready to go. All you need to do is take the bike out of the box and carry out the following final assembly steps yourself:

  1. Straighten the handlebars
  2. Fit the front wheel
  3. Adjust the saddle to the correct height
  4. Screw on the pedals
The right frame size depends primarily on height and inseam. To do this, measure your child’s height without shoes and determine their inseam (inside leg length)

1. Measure height

To determine height, have your child stand barefoot, upright with their back against a wall. Now place a book horizontally on their head and measure the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the book.

2. Measure the inseam

To determine the inseam, have your child stand barefoot, upright with their back against a wall, clamp a book between their legs and pull it upwards into their crotch with the top edge horizontal. Now measure the distance from the floor to the top edge of the book. The length you’ve measured is your child’s inseam.

3. Determining the right bike size / frame size

As well as height, inseam length also plays an important role in determining the right bike size/frame size. To ensure your child can ride safely, their inseam length should be at least equal to the standover height of the selected size.

Freude am Fahren auf 2 Rädern

Ich hatte das Fahrrad letztes Jahr gekauft. Es ist top verarbeitet. Super Ergonomie.
