Feather-light UD carbon frame with 100 mm of suspension travel

The frame, made from UD (unidirectional) carbon fibre with 100 mm of travel, is both feather-light and rigid, ensuring maximum forward momentum. The Race geometry is sporty yet balanced, similar to the Matz Carbon Hardtail, and specifically designed to meet the needs of young racers. Thanks to its agile head angle, the Race Fully glides effortlessly through corners, whilst the steep 75° seat angle ensures a central position on the bike – perfect for efficient climbing and precise handling when the descent gets rough and technically demanding.

Circuit with high bandwidth

When every second counts, precision is crucial. The SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain on the FINN delivers lightning-fast, silky-smooth gear changes – even under full load. With its wide gear range, young cross-country riders are perfectly equipped for any situation – powerful on the start, efficient on the climbs and lightning-fast on the home straight.

Race-optimised cockpit

The lightweight VPACE SL carbon handlebars, combined with the lightweight aluminium stem, ensure safe and controlled bike handling on fast and technically demanding cross-country trails. Shifting is handled by a smooth-operating SRAM GX trigger lever, whilst braking is provided by the lightweight and reliable Magura MT4 disc brake. The 1-Finger HC aluminium brake levers can be perfectly adjusted to fit smaller children’s hands and offer precise control and maximum braking power with minimal effort.

High-performance suspension fork – Kids Tuned

Lightweight, stiff, responsive. The high-performance Rock Shox SID SL suspension fork with 100 mm of travel responds sensitively to the light weight of young racers. As a result, it offers a response that is particularly well-suited to children and delivers top performance on the trail and in competition. The fork comes with a 3-position adjuster and can be locked at the crown for longer uphill sections.

Kids' XC Race Performance Shock Absorber

We have tuned the fitted Rock Shox SidLuxe Select shock, with 100 mm of travel, to suit the lower body weight of young cross-country racers – Kids Tuned. It responds with exceptional sensitivity, offering efficient, finely controlled damping and progressive suspension, thereby ensuring outstanding traction, control and comfort on technical terrain as well as on fast descents and steep climbs. The Twistloc Remote efficiently locks out the shock with a single twist during uphill sections, ensuring no power is lost.

The 29er principle with lightweight wheels

With the VPACE 29er concept, we opt for the largest possible wheels across all frame sizes. Why does this make sense? Because large wheels roll more efficiently, offer a smoother ride and clear obstacles more easily. Combined with our exceptionally lightweight VPACE SL wheels featuring Duke Lucky Star Ultra rims, young racers benefit from significantly better acceleration, greater efficiency and improved safety on the trail and in races.

Our children’s bikes can be ridden for two years from the start of the recommended size range and accommodate a growth of approximately 15 cm. Once the seat post and stem have been adjusted, this can be extended to 20 cm.

The perfect size

The chart shows a recommendation based on body height. However, depending on your riding style, body proportions or personal preferences, a smaller or larger model may also be suitable. Simple adjustments, such as a longer or shorter stem, a different seatpost or the position of the saddle, allow you to tailor the bike perfectly to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

VPACE Kids Bikes are sporty bicycles and components designed specifically for children, setting new standards in quality, performance and design:

  • Lightweight
  • Well-thought-out, child-specific geometry
  • Larger wheels thanks to the 29er principle
  • Top-quality components from renowned manufacturers
  • Good value for money
  • Low actual running costs due to the high resale value

On the one hand, you can really put our bikes through their paces at our Test Centre partners and experience the VPACE ‘aha’ moment; and on the other hand, you can visit our showroom in Horgenzell, where you can view all our kids’ bikes and even take them for a test ride.

Your bike will arrive in a box, fully pre-assembled, perfectly adjusted and ready to go. All you need to do is take the bike out of the box and carry out the following final assembly steps yourself:

  1. Straighten the handlebars
  2. Fit the front wheel
  3. Adjust the saddle to the correct height
  4. Screw on the pedals
The right frame size depends primarily on height and inseam. To do this, measure your child’s height without shoes and determine their inseam (inside leg length)

1. Measure height

To determine height, have your child stand barefoot, upright with their back against a wall. Now place a book horizontally on their head and measure the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the book.

2. Measure the inseam

To determine the inseam, have your child stand barefoot, upright with their back against a wall, clamp a book between their legs and pull it upwards into their crotch with the top edge horizontal. Now measure the distance from the floor to the top edge of the book. The length you’ve measured is your child’s inseam.

3. Determining the right bike size / frame size

As well as height, inseam length also plays an important role in determining the right bike size/frame size. To ensure your child can ride safely, their inseam length should be at least equal to the standover height of the selected size.
